So I started this challenge on the 1st of September and it ends on the 1st of December, so far it’s going well, though I’m hungry most of the time. I’ll occasionally cheat with a banana which I consider a healthy option 😉 the progress is slow but I hope for better results as the weeks come along. It’s honestly not easy to avoid all the good stuff, when you’re out with friends, or when you have guests over and they bring things like CHOCOLATE CAKE!!; but I sort of get into a phase where I just look at junk food as my enemy and this helps me to say NO even when I’m dying for a bite.
It’s been four weeks and I’ve lost 3 KGS in the past four weeks, I was hoping to lose 4 KGS per month but all the same I’m happy with my results and I’m sure if I keep resisting the good stuff I will achieve my goal. The workouts are also quite intense, I work out 5 – 6 times a week, this is also a bit challenging though I was lucky enough to join two friends (Sarah & Carol) and we use the help of a trainer who pushes us to do things differently. This brings some diversity to the workouts we do individually, I also attend a boot camp class on one of the 5 – 6 days, among those days I also workout with my partner (Kristin) who I admire a lot, her endurance during workouts is inspiring and I also loved how good she was at boxing, hopefully one day I can take videos of our boxing class to show you how bad ass she is, from looking at her doing her thing in boxing I also started boxing, it’s so intense and fun by the time the class is over you’re drained, it’s such a great workout.
So now I’m entering the next phase of the challenge week 5 – week 8, I’m more energized and ready to withstand a lower calorie deficit. My workout buddy’s and partner and keep me going honestly without them I would probably have quit. So thanks to them. I will try to post more about the challenge now that I have shared this with you all and hope to get some questions on the challenges I might be facing or words of encouragement or feedback on the long overdue blog.
I will find out if I can share the diet and workout plan I am doing with my readers and you can try it on your own!
The picture above is of me and my partner (Kristin) after a great workout. 🙂
